A perpetual movement of five faces that give in to sleep and become alert again, in a wearing alternation of wakefulness and torpor, consciousness and sleep.

Untitled, Head Falling is the new video by Diego Marcon (1985, Busto Arsizio, Varese), with which the medial facade lights up again in the month of October. Precisely when it gets dark in the city, wakefulness and sleep alternate endlessly in animated fragments, conceived and projected in a loop on the animated façade of Museion.

Marcon touches on the theme of sleep, but through images of great chromatic impact, in bright shades of blue and fuchsia, where the origin of the work is a pictorial matrix. Sleep is a very present theme in the artist’s work, who investigates it as a moment of passage to another dimension; so also the repetition and the apparent boredom or banality linked to a daily ritual are material for his animations. The starting point is a careful observation of some elements of reality, entrusted to the language of cinema, from which Marcon comes.
