With his new book, Andreas Hapkemeyer offers a surprising interpretation of the history of art, with examples of exceptional works and architecture in South Tyrol.
“Erlebnis Kunst in Südtirol – Von Fratzen, Fresken und Fassaden” (Folio publisher - in German), traces a local historical-artistic journey from medieval and baroque frescoes, passing through the facist building program, up to contemporary art. There is also Museion, where reference is made for example to the Cubo Garutti and the work Genealogy of damnatio memoriae (2009) by the artist couple Goldschmidt and Chiari.
