Hats off to Martino Gamper!

His installation for the Valextra boutique in Milan’s via Manzoni was a great hit with the Fuorisalone crowd at the city’s famous Furniture Fair. His “corners”, site specific window displays recently created for Prada, have become a talking point.

Icon Awards Designer of the year 2014, the hugely talented Martino Gamper is a master of reuse and reconfiguration, with an unmistakable creative flair that has now enchanted the world of high fashion too. “Our” Martino Gamper, as we like to think of him: even if he is a citizen of the world, his origins are firmly here in South Tyrol. And he’ll be back in Museion soon as curator of the show “design is a state of mind”, in collaboration with the Serpentine Galleries of London and the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli, Turin.
