The exhibition Teeth, Gums, Machines, Future, Society by Lili Reynaud Dewar opened in Hamburg on 23 September, a co-production between the Kunstverein in Hamburg and Museion.

She, the French artist, is known to the Museion public for having been present in the Soleil Politique exhibition curated by Pierre Bal-Blanc, where, dancing within the museum space, she referenced the movements of Joséphine Baker.

In Teeth, Gums, Machines, Future, Society Reynaud Dewar deals with thoroughly contemporary topics such as the formulation and translation of cultural identities, their conditions, consequences and their limits. The entire exhibition develops around a video that shows the creation of a performance in Memphis, Tennessee, focused on cultural appropriation.

Teeth, Gums, Machines, Future, Society will open at Museion on 27 January 2017.
