Pierrot, Museions Chatbot

Getting in touch with Museion, at any time and latitude, asking for information on exhibitions, events, and the collection, with the possibility of printing a poster of your favorite work… this and much more offers Pierrot, the new Museion chatbot. It is a trilingual robot - Italian, German and English - with which the public can communicate and find out about the museum 24 hours a day. All you need to do is install Facebook Messenger on your smartphone or tablet and access the Museion Facebook page (by clicking on the icon “send Message”).

The Chatbot can also be used at Museion, from an iPad positioned on the ground floor.

“This year we celebrate ten years in the new headquarters and we took the occasion of the birthday to open up to new channels of communication with different audiences. Now we all use Messenger and Facebook on a daily basis, which represent an additional possibility for the museum to reach new potential visitors, or, simply, to enrich the visit of those who have already entered the museum. I see the bot as an innovation, an offer that adds to and does not replace the real experience of art” - so Letizia Ragaglia, director of Museion. As mentioned, in addition to finding out about the exhibitions, activities and thematic focuses of recent years, through the Museion bot it is possible to watch, choose, print and take away an image from the collection for free.

With the introduction of the Chatbot, Museion aligns itself, first in Alto Adige, with museums such as the MAXXI in Rome, the Reggia di Venaria and, in the Region, the Mart in Rovereto and the Muse in Trento.

Attention to the digital dimension and innovation that Museion carries out, as well as with intense activity on over eight social channels, also with the Google Arts & Culture project, which on the occasion of the birthday hosts a virtual journey on the themes and exhibitions of recent years.
