The journey between word and image, sound and poetry continues in the exhibition “Intermedia. Archive of New Writing”

What we offer you today is a visual poetic homage to the figure of Ezra Pound. Made in 1955 and presented at the Rapallo festival on the occasion of the poet’s seventieth birthday, the film is made up of documents, outdoor shots of Rapallo and Brunnenburg Castle near Tyrol. In a tight montage, the story of the poet is reconstructed and the constant presence of the famous Cantos, to whom much is owed in the verbo-visual research. In fact, there are many visual poets who constantly refer to Pound, such as the Brazilian concrete poets.

Anna and Martino Oberto, artists and intellectuals active since the beginning in the experience of the Salt Market managed by Ugo Carrega and then in the association of the Archive of New Writing, are among the artists who participated in the season of Italian experimental cinema.
