Inspired by the VALIE EXPORT series, Körperkonfiguration, 1972

The works of VALIE EXPORT (Linz 1940) Körperkonfiguration from 1972 are part of a series in the Museion collection.

In these works, the artist examines the difficult relationship between the female body and architecture, determined by a male language. He also explores the body in its adaptation to the environment and, in the same way, makes his own condition visible, through his position of his body in space.

These days we feel the “confinements” even more than usual: the body is called to adapt to the space it inhabits.

Something similar happens in writing too, in fact a relationship is often created between space and content: the form influences the content and the flow of the writing.

You will need: a sheet of paper, writing tools and “your usual architectural space”
