On Friday May 29th Museion opens its doors to the public again with two new exhibitions: the artist Karin Sander’s solo exhibition, “Skulptur/Sculpture/Scultura” and, in the Studio House next to Museion, P.O.V. Point of View, a project by the Butch-ennial Contemporary Art Group collective. To mark the occasion, the public is invited to visit the exhibitions free of charge from 4pm to 8pm.

“After being closed for over two months on account of this emergency, Museion opens its doors again and presents two new exhibitions. This is an important moment that, personally, I feel very emotional about. I am extremely happy to be able to welcome visitors again and I am especially proud of the Museion team, who have succeeded in preparing these two new exhibitions despite endless difficulties and limitations. In these past months we have remained at our public’s side through #TeleMuseion and its various online material, but I believe that this time has shown us all that nothing can replace the physical experience of meeting art face to face. It is an experience that visitors must be allowed to enjoy with complete peace of mind. So, in recent weeks we have adopted all the necessary measures to ensure that the museum can be visited in the utmost safety,” commented Letizia Ragaglia, Museion Director.

In compliance with the Provincial Law (n.4 of 08.05.2020) a set of regulations has been adopted with various measures, such as cleaning rooms every day, organising separate entrance and exit flows, installing new signs and providing hand sanitiser in every room in the museum. “Even if Museion’s spacious design could accommodate a higher number, we have also established a maximum visitor limit of 15 people per floor,” continued Ragaglia.  Visitors to the museum will naturally have to wear a mask and keep a safe distance of at least two metres away from other people. Our staff will help remind visitors of the rules. This new situation has also meant revising our opening times, which have been temporarily reorganised as follows: Museion and the Studio House Casa Atelier will open on Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 8pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 8pm. Museion will remain closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
