Upcoming holidays – Museion opening hours

Taking advantage of the festive days to discover art in peace: this is what Museion is offering during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.

Currently in Museion you can visit Intermedia. The exhibition presents over two hundred works from the New Scripture Archive,  Paolo Della Grazia’s collection dedicated to research between word and image, with particular attention to the movements of Visual and Visual Poetry, Concrete Poetry and Fluxus. The different groups of works are linked in light of the concept of intermediality. The term “intermedia” defines fluid artistic forms, which overcome the traditional separation between genres. In this sense, Intermedia takes on the connotation of an unexplored land, located between collage, music, theatre, visual arts.

Instead, Marguerite Humeau’s exhibition on the fourth floor of the Museion is inspired by the fascination and mystery surrounding the prehistoric statuettes of the Venuses, dating back to the Paleolithic age (around 35,000-11,000 years ago). Oscillations, this is the title of the exhibition, presents a group of sculptures in bronze, alabaster, marble and stone in a large immersive installation which presents itself as an imaginary space of transition and oscillation between the human world and that of spirits.
