For the TECHNO exhibition, some representatives of the global techno scene, including DJs, producers, record labels and organisers will produce playlists that will represent the richness of different styles and voices expressed by club music over the decades.

Wolfgang Voigt, born in 1961 in Cologne is an artist, music producer, label owner, and one of the co-founders of the Cologne-based massively influential electronica and techno label Kompakt. One of the key figures of German electronic music, Voigt has recorded—in addition to his own name—under a variety of pseudonyms, including Mike Ink, Studio1, M: I: 5, Love Inc., Freiland, Wassermann. He is also a visual artist, his latest exhibition include Wald/Loops at Sunworks in Zurich, Black Album / White Cube, group exhibition, Kunsthal Rotterdam NL, 2020; Hyper, group exhibition, Deichtorhallen Hamburg DE, 2020; Trance, Aïshti Foundation, Lebanon 2019. He is about to launch the tenth title (due on December 3) produced under the moniker GAS — a project that according to the music magazine Pitchfork is one of the most influential in the redefinition of ambient music after Brian Eno — and has shared with us the music he is listening to in this period while working on his upcoming exhibition in Cologne.
