“TECHNO Conversations” is a series of periodic podcasts in which some of the many aspects linked to the history of raves and clubs, such as communities, economies, stories and trends are investigated through the testimonies of protagonists including theorists and reporters.

In episode 12, Katia Mullova interviews Stefan Goldmann.

Stefan Goldmann develops music which is derived from the fundamentals of techno and the characteristics of related media formats. His works range from tracks to large-scale compositions for dance, ensembles and film. Goldmann performs worldwide in clubs and at festivals, including SXSW (Austin), Mutek (Montreal) and Club To Club (Torino). He received numerous commissions and developed site-specific concert formats for institutions such as the LACMA museum in Los Angeles, Kyoto’s Honen-In Temple and CCK in Buenos Aires. For Berlin’s Berghain club he conceived the Elektroakustischer Salon events and writes a column for the club’s monthly flyer programme. Stefan Goldmann is a co-founder of the Macro record label and artistic director of Strom Festival for the Berlin Philharmonic.
