The winners of the “MUSEION-SKB-TRANSART PRIZE” competition dedicated to contemporary artistic creation were presented today.

“Aui Oi”, a sound installation by Caroline Profanter and Ulrike Bernard for the Renon cable car, is the winning project of the second edition of the “Museion-SKB-Transart Prize”, a competition organized by Südtiroler Künstlerbund, Museion – museum of modern and contemporary art of Bolzano and by the cultural association Transart, aimed at rewarding artistic creation in Trentino Alto Adige and Tyrol.

The competition, born from the synergy between the main cultural realities devoted to contemporary present in the area, intends to promote and reward contemporary artistic creation on a broad spectrum: from sound to visual art, from performing arts to architecture, to any other contamination with different expressive languages available in the creative society of our times. The competition takes place every two years and is therefore aimed at artists, musicians, choreographers, directors, documentary makers, theater companies, architects from Trentino Alto Adige and Tyrol aged between 20 and 40, who at the time of registration are already working in the area .

Caroline Profanter and Ulrike Bernard, creators of the “Aui Oi” project, will be given a maximum budget of €15,000 for the realization of the proposed project. Their work will be presented as part of the Transart13 Festival and will enter the Museion collection.

The other 5 projects included in the shortlist of finalists are: “Pulse”, a participatory project by the Instituts of Friends collective, “M. Jordan” by Sven Sachsalber in collaboration with Peter#KOMPRIPIOTR#Holzknecht, “Skulpt the sound” by Hannes Kerschbaumer, “Soundpavillon 13” by the team composed of Julian Oberhofer-Felderer, Felix Tutzer, Philipp Madeiski, Philipp Gazzarata and Anna Kuen and Wünsche an die Welt, created by Johannes Pobitzer, Maria Turner and Martin Pobitzer – members of the artistic collective MaJo.
